Ken Steigerwalt - Gents Folder
Status - Sold
Another beauty from Ken Steigerwalt. This is a gent's folder featuring blue & tan mammoth scales with a 14 kt Gold inlay highlighting the transition between the bolsters and scales, a blade of Mike Norris Stainless Ladder Pattern Damascus with thumb stud opener, the bolsters are stainless with the style of file work that is very recognizably Ken Steigerwalt, the liners are file-worked as is the backspring which also has 14kt gold inlays. This is a unique and lovely gents folder from one of the best makers of our age and a member of the AKI (Art Knife Invitational) group of makers. This knife is brand new from the maker. Take advantage of this opportunity to own something special.

Ken principally makes two classes of knives these days, gentleman's folders and high art knives. The high art pieces are what made Ken his name in the knife world. These pieces are usually of an Art Deco, Bauhaus or Art Nouveau influence and are the knives most commonly offered at the few shows he attends. These knives are in great demand and command prices in the thousands of dollars. This current, newly made, gent's folder is a simpler style knife, he does very few like this and only for a few special customers each year. The fit and finish is superb, materials top quality but, in order to keep the price lower less of the more expensive materials are used and the style is less time consuming to build than his high art pieces. This knife is a great value from one of the best makers
